3rd graders will have daily homework except for on the weekends. In addition to any homework sent home it is always encouraged to make sure your students are reading for at least 15 minutes each evening.
Room 4 Homework Policy
It is very important that students turn in their homework everyday. This encourages them to be responsible students and prepares them for middle school, high school, and college.
Students’ homework will be reflected on their report card. If a student does not bring in any homework, they receive 0 points out of 10 and stay in for second recess to work on it. If they bring their homework back but did not complete it, they will earn 5 points out of 10. If they turn in their homework and attempted to do every problem, they will earn 10 points out of 10, even if they did not get all the answers correct.
Please encourage your child to complete their homework every day. It is crucial for their success in 3rd grade and beyond.
